Decision pathways

Move from application conditions to a reviewable specification.

01

Define the Function

Clarify sealing, flexing, insulation, protection, fluid handling or another primary function.

02

Select the Material Route

Compare HCR, LSR and specialty compounds against geometry, service conditions and production volume.

03

Prepare the RFQ

Align drawings, samples, quantities, tolerances, color, hardness and required documentation.

04

Approve the Process

Review tooling, samples, inspection criteria and the controls needed for repeat production.

Evidence before claims

Documentation must match the exact material and end use.

Terms such as “FDA,” “food grade,” “medical grade” or “aerospace grade” are not interchangeable. The applicable material formulation, finished-part conditions, test method and documentation should be confirmed for each project.

LSAN uses application and drawing review to define what evidence is relevant. A material declaration or supplier certificate should not be presented as approval of the customer’s finished device or system.
