PROCESS OVERVIEW

How the Process Supports Your Part

Silicone extrusion continuously forms uncured compound through a shaped die, followed by controlled curing, cooling and take-up. The process is suited to tubing, cords and custom profiles supplied in coils, cut lengths, joined rings or fabricated assemblies.

Final feasibility, tolerance, tooling and test recommendations are confirmed after reviewing the actual drawing, material and service environment.

Common Questions

What shapes can be extruded?

Tubing, cord and many open or hollow profiles are possible when the cross-section can be continuously formed and cured.

Can profiles be supplied as frames?

Yes. Cut lengths may be mitered, joined or fabricated after validating the joint requirement.

Are very tight tolerances possible?

Critical tolerances depend on cross-section, material, cure method and profile stability.

Can sponge silicone be extruded?

Often yes, but density, skin, compression and dimensional requirements must be defined.
